19th International Conference on
Ferroelectric Liquid Crystals

Polarity and Spontaneous Symmetry Breaking

17 - 19 September, Cloth Hall Court
Leeds, UK

Welcome to FLCC 2025

The Soft Matter Physics group at the University of Leeds is excited to host the 19th International Conference on Ferroelectric Liquid Crystals. The main conference proceedings will take place between on the 17th – 19th September 2025 held at Cloth Hall Court in the centre of Leeds. A further welcome event will be held on the evening of the 16th of September at the Bragg Centre for Materials Research on the main University of Leeds campus including optional lab tours of the Soft Matter Physics group at Leeds.

This is an extremely exciting time for those who study the various ferroelectric phases and properties of liquid crystals. Since 1987 this conference has provided a venue for researchers to come together to discuss and debate their research resulting in numerous fruitful collaborations and discoveries. It is the hope of us, the local organising committee, that the 19th edition of this conference will again provide an ideal venue for progressing our field.
